Album Release: Oct. 12, 2018

Little did I know that my long time high school friend would end up being the love of my life.
This is the true story of our journey.

Song Lyrics

To Be Continued…
©Francine Honey (SOCAN)

We met at high school when we were fourteen
The same group of friends through five years of classes
Survived all night parties outside at the farm
We’d lay on the grass and watch falling stars

Danced one last time, at our graduation
Swore we’d all stay in touch
Reading my yearbook, made my heart ache
When I read what you wrote,
at the bottom of the page

Chorus:
To be continued, A new chapter starting
To be continued, Our story’s not through
Maybe today, is the day
To be continued

Called you one Christmas,
told you ’bout my divorce
We met for drinks at the old farm
Stayed up later than ever before
Friendship became much more

Sometimes in life, the timing’s not right
No matter how much you love
Seeing the hurt in each other’s eyes
With hands held tight, we said our good-byes
Repeat Chorus

Bridge:
50 rolls around, reunion at our high school
You pull me close, whisper “God I missed you”
I start to blush, tingles down my spine
Could this finally be our time?

Repeat Chorus

  1. Awesome video Francine. The scene setting and imagery really complimented the emotion in your song delivery. Well done! Funny how it stirred up high school dating memories.

    1. Thanks so much for leaving me this lovely comment Susan. I am so glad it brings back some high school dating memories. Hopefully they were good ones!

  2. How beautiful, to this day I am still in love with my high school sweetheart. He married and I believe he is happy, I never married, always thinking that maybe someday the right person will come along, but has not happened. Always have my sweetheart in my mind and my heart. Thanks for sharing your beautiful love story, I have often wondered if something like that would happen to me some day. We are still friends, only him and I know how I fell about him…but I don’t have his heart, just his friendship.

  3. My dear Francine,
I met you at the tender age of 14. It was our first year of high school. Our friendship grew deeper for the next four years but was “interrupted ” when university life and then married life led us in separate directions. Thankfully, social media intervened and our “to be continued” is now. I’m so happy to be given this opportunity to press the replay button and have you walk through my life again – this time to “Stay” ( wink wink…nudge nudge…the title to your next song. Love you.

    1. So humbled by this comment Maria. Thank you for you friendship and for your continued support of this music and of me. Thank you for helping me develop 2 special soaps for this music. Hugs.

  8. Your first song on the new album is heartfelt and leaves a lasting impression like all of the other songs you’ve written. You sing about everyday lives, your own and that of your family, friends and acquaintances in a way that engages people and draws them in. It is a wonderful talent that makes people think about the interconnectedness of everyone’s life with those around them. Congratulations Francine! Can’t wait for the rest of the daily unveiling.

  9. Francine,
I was already emotional and had tears in my eyes before I even heard the song! You had me crying during your introduction! I have been on my own for a very long time so I completely relate and connect with your story. Motherhood and running my own business keeps me busy and fills me with so much joy and passion everyday! I am good being on my own and wouldn’t have it any other way! I made a conscious decision a while back to never settle for anything other than the best! In the meantime I have devoted my time and energy into helping others feel better! I know the love of my life is out there! My “To Be Continued”…it will happen and I am so looking forward to that part of my life!
Your song gives me hope. Your song reinforces what I have always believed in…. True Love!!! It always happens when we least expect it. It always happens at the right time for both. Be still. Be patient. Be happy with self. And it always comes together in the end!! I can’t Wait!! It has been such a long and crazy journey thus far!
Thank you Francine! You are an amazing woman! You are an inspiration! Beautiful voice! So proud of You!!
    Dreams do come true!!

    1. Oh Britt! Thank you so much for sharing your story so openly! It so warms my heart! You are where I was the year before the high school reunion! You have no idea how much knowing that by sharing my story it has given you hope. It happened for me when I was least expecting it. Here’s to your “to be continued…” It will be greater than you ever imagined. In the meantime, keep doing what you are doing and finding peace in your life. So proud of you doing what it takes to raise a child on your own. Big hugs…xoxo Francine

  14. Oh my gosh Francine. This is lovely. Voice and words. My high school sweetheart of 4 years and I parted when he went off to University. Ken and I only saw each other once after that and it was awkward at best. But I have always wondered if his dreams came true.
How brave of you to have reached out to him once again and how wonderful he whispered in your ear!
    Blessings to both of you.

    1. Oh Catherine! What a story! Thank you for sharing that and perhaps reaching out on social media might be a safe bet for you to see how things are. He may be wondering about you too. As we get older, I find that those connections we made in our younger years become more and more important as we all experience life in between with all of it’s ups and downs. Well, I almost didn’t go to the high school reunion because I knew that he would be there but I really wanted to see all of my other friends and I showed up late on purpose hoping he would be busy with other people and don’t you know the only place at the table was directly across from him. No avoiding allowed in that situation! And yes, I will never forget that hug and him whispering in my ear. I am very blessed. Thanks for listening…ttyl…Francine
