It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year – A song for the holidays

From the album: Take Me To The North Pole
Album Release: Nov 12, 2019

This classic song talks about the many activities that people go about doing during the Christmas season back in the day and today as well. Only one of these activities is rare these days, telling ghost stories! Aside from “A Christmas Carol” we tend to not talk about ghosts around Christmas time.

Song Lyrics

It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
George Wyle and Edward “Eddie” Pola

It’s the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you be of good cheer
It’s the most wonderful time of the year

It’s the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It’s the hap-happiest season of all

There’ll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There’ll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There’ll be much mistletoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When loved ones are near
It’s the most wonderful time of the year

There’ll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There’ll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There’ll be much mistletoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It’s the most wonderful time
Yes the most wonderful time
Oh the most wonderful time
Of the year

  1. Listening to this song brings joy. I don’t know about the ghost stories, but the tradition i remember the most is going to church with the family and seing everyone dress nice and being excited to return home together and opening our present. It’s also the preparation before the holidays and baking goodies together and given them away! Thank you Francine for making us, mesmerizing our holidays memories.
