Blue Christmas, a song of missing loved ones during the holidays.
From the album: Take Me To The North Pole
Album Release: Nov. 12, 2019
This is an amazing Christmas song written by Billy Hayes and Jay Johnson but very famously recorded and performed by the KING of rock and roll, Elvis Presley. This has been one of my favourite Christmas songs for most of my life, and my kids were so sick of hearing it growing up that they hid my Elvis CD from me on numerous occasions! But, I always found it and played it for them anyways! Here’s me and the boys’ rendition of it!
Blue Christmas
Billy Hayes and Jay Johnson
I’ll have a blue Christmas without you
I’ll be so blue just thinking about you
Decorations of red on our green Christmas tree
Won’t be the same dear, if you’re not here with me
And when those blue snowflakes start fallin’
That’s when those blue memories start callin’
You’ll be doin’ all right, with your Christmas of white
But I’ll have a blue, blue, blue, blue Christmas
You’ll be doin’ all right, with your Christmas of white
But I’ll have a blue, blue, blue, blue Christmas

I saw a few snowflakes
A rainbow
Thanks Terry Ann!
Might be too early ..answer could be some butterflies or Nashville flies flew in during session. Nice to see Verlon Thompson.. And neighbour ..there also . Love all of it. ❣❤️
It sure was a special time and yes Robert Gray and Verlon Thompson are all in there singing along! Thanks!
Well done!!! A great start to the holiday music listening
Thanks so much Jill!
I am presuming it is the ” snowflakes ” that appear on back ground vocals. I
like the laid back and slight bluesy feel to this rendition. I never did like the Elvis version.
Good job on this one.
Thanks so much Gord!
Hy everyone …
I would say the sun reflexing threw the camera …
Great music Francine. Love your voice. Love Sheila.
Thanks Sheila! You have always supported my music. Big hugs!
What appears while recording the background vocals on Blue Christmas?”
SANTA appears!!!
My Aunt Elaine was a dyed-in-the-wool Elvis fan, too, Francine, & had his music playing for her funeral in a catholic church! As well, my cousins Shirley & Sandy, had their bedrooms (in the 50s) plastered with black & white Elvis posters . . . love what you & the boys do with “Blue Christmas”
Ah thanks Nancy! I know exactly what you mean with the Elvis! What until you hear it at the show next week! It is off the charts!
A rainbow in the background
